City of St. Ignace
Downtown Development Authority

Downtown St. Ignace is located on the beautiful shores of Lake Huron. The City and DDA have made significant efforts to keep access to our downtown shoreline open to the public. The Huron Boardwalk, which ribbons along the downtown shoreline, is proof of that effort. The handicapped accessible boardwalk travels approximately 1½ miles with public parks, public marina, shops, restaurants, museums and lodging along the way. The downtown area offers many free year round activities and events such as summertime weekly fireworks, outdoor movies and musical entertainment. All of those activities and the many year round events such as the June Auto Shows, July Fish Feast and the February Pond Hockey Tournaments, to name just a few, take place on the downtown Lake Huron waterfront.
